  18.         If it is the old IDEK 5017, that monitor is spec'd for 15-40KHz scan
  19. rates and handles NTSC.

  21.         However mine, and I've read reports of one other, seem to have a
  22. recent glitch (weak capacitor?) such that they aren't jumping into the
  23. 15-20KHz mode -- displaying NTSC as a smaller image shifted down and to the
  24. right under a 24KHz mode.  (The monitor has four "zones" that it jumps through
  25. as the scan rate changes -- each zone meant to optimize usage of screen
  26. space.)
