- If it is the old IDEK 5017, that monitor is spec'd for 15-40KHz scan
- rates and handles NTSC.

- However mine, and I've read reports of one other, seem to have a
- recent glitch (weak capacitor?) such that they aren't jumping into the
- 15-20KHz mode -- displaying NTSC as a smaller image shifted down and to the
- right under a 24KHz mode. (The monitor has four "zones" that it jumps through
- as the scan rate changes -- each zone meant to optimize usage of screen
- space.)
